Truth is like mustard. It comes in many different jars and flavors. When you find one particular kind you like, you tend to stick with it, and ignore all the other varieties.
Also, it doesn’t taste good by itself — in fact, by itself, it’s disgusting. So we’re always slathering it on to something else. Like bread or sausages. The taste of truth makes the taste of other things palatable.
A lot of people hate mustard. And it’s easy to live without it. Even for those who do like it, it’s only a tiny portion of their overall diet. There’s a good reason for this: if you lived on nothing but mustard, you would die.
I thought about all of this while having a shit. And I felt the need to share. So here we are.
